Dear Diary ...

11am

After my usual Saturday morning smorgasbord of breakfast, it was time to get outside. Finally, it was beautiful spring day. I had on my white, “I heart New York” sweatshirt; I remember making sure I bought something to remember my hometown of Manhattan. I was also able to get away with wearing my flimsy converses. I love this weather-the weather channel said today we’d have a high of almost sixty-five-degrees today.

I am finally sitting here in front of the gate with a way inside. The sounds of spring are all around me, it’s really cheesy but it makes the moment feel more magical. I put the necklace on, it was warm against my neck and chest, and it was almost as if once I had put it on I brought it to life. Once I get inside I will find a spot to sit so that I can write down everything that happens once I enter the garden.

The moment is finally here and I feel nervous, but I am ready to face what is beyond these walls. Well, here goes nothing…
